OC Premier Travel Teams Update Fall 2013
OCP has had a very successful 2013 Fall season up to date. We have competed at high level tournaments , competing in league play and most importantly playing the game the right way!
At the start of the fall season we have:
10u OCP Team – Managed by Jeff Green – The 10u team has played very well in CCYB play staying of the 10u division as one of the better teams. They have also managed to win a tournament championship and be classified a true AAA level Southern California Team.
11u OCP Team- Managed by Dave Lewis – The 10u team has had a solid fall season winning at about a .500 clip. This is a solid turn around from the CCYB 2013 Spring Season where we struggled. The players are all developing and learning the game at the right speed
13u OCP White- Managed by Corey Jones- The 13u white team has grown to take the personality of their coach. Grind out the win type player!! The 13u White team started off slow this fall but have managed to be hot as of late. They are 7-7 in league play going into playoffs and last weekend they lost in the championship game of a tournament.
13u OCP Navy- Managed by Joey Boney- The 13u navy team has been a solid consistent league play team going 9-5-1. The team has a solid group of players who came from Placentia. They will be heading into the CCYB Playoffs this weekend as well. We except this team to bounce back this weekend.
13u OCP Gray- Managed by Jason Corapci- The 13u gray team a new team that was formed to compete at the highest level of play. The team this fall has played in 4 tournaments and they have garnered one tournament championship and one finalist. This group is playing the best in So Cal and are holding their own without a problem. They will continue to get better and mature.
14u OCP- Managed by Joey Siddons & Jason Dovel- The 14u team has executed very well in CCYB play with a record of 13-3-1. This group is made up of about 18 players. The players all have roles at this level. SOme players will compete in tournaments and some will compete in CCYB while some are floating back and forth. The team last spring finished the season as one of the top 13u teams in SO Cal. We are looking to return to that form when we play in tournaments.
16u OCP- Managed by Jason Corapci- The 16u team is a very talented to group that has played great baseball all fall. They have by far improved from 4th of July weekend over the summer. I look to see this group turning some heads going into their own High School Season 2014.
That is the OCP Update. As League Play comes to a conclusion our teams will be representing themselves in local tournaments over the next couple months. We will be back at in the Spring with a new update.
