The Real Deal 14U team split a pair of games at Cal State Fullerton’s Goodwin Field.  In game one versus Elite Baseball #1, Real Deal lost 5-4.  The game was close throughout the seven innings.  Real Deal had a three run second going up 3-1, highlighted by an RBI double by Jacob Manzur.  Elite Baseball came back in the 3rd and 4th putting up a total of four runs.  Austin Reynolds relieved Kenneth Pettibone in the 4th and pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings allowing one hit and two walks to keep Real Deal in the game.  Real Deal came back with a run in the 6th to pull within one.  In the 7th, with two outs and Christian Cosby, the tying run on second, Pettibone hit a liner to right center for a hit.  Cosby was gunned down at the plate by a good throw from the right fielder, ending an exciting game.

Game two was another story.  Against Elite Baseball #2, Real Deal put up 17 runs on 12 hits en route to a 17-2 win.  Real Deal scored in each inning, including a 10 spot in the second.  This inning was highlighted by a towering two run triple by Ramon Chaves.  Other big plays in the game included a long RBI double by Austin Reynolds and a 3 for 3 game for Joseph Bedillion, which included two runs and two RBI’s.  After allowing two runs in the first, Jacob Manzur, Ryne Kisslan and Jared Cardenas combined to shut Elite Baseball down the rest of the way.
